Dedicated to Our Parents!
This blog is also dedicated to my parents who taugh both my sister and me by example, what successful family relationships really look and feel like
I have vivid memories of the sun falling after a warm summer’s day while Mum, Dad my sister and I were outside playing a game of Badminton or French Cricket.
Then there were the times we gathered around the living room fire to enjoy our supper (tea for us) and afterwards there was a book to enjoy or just a time to watch the flames going up the chimney.
The cat would be purring in his favorite spot, as close to the fireside as possible. It was a wonder he did not get burned! He would also often watch the flames going up the chimney which would make us laugh.
There were also the days I came home from school cold, to find a nice warm fire going and that fabulous aroma of baking filling the kitchen.
I am grateful for our parents and for the heritage they left us. Every time I dealt with a distressed family across the years, my heart would be filled with mixed emotions, sadness for the troubled family, and gratitude for the childhood memories of a united family that my parents helped create.
I say “helped” because my mother always told us “I did not know how to bring you up, so I just gave you to God”. I think that God and my mother did a good job 
I dedicate this blog to them and to you.
